There are plenty of exciting things to do in the area while it’s raining outside! To help you be prepared for any weather, we’re sharing the top four things to do in Pigeon Forge when it rains:
1. Visit Us at The Comedy Barn
Of course, number one on our list is to visit us at The Comedy Barn! Indoor attractions are a great way to escape the rain while still having fun, and there’s no better place to be than our theater. We provide guests of all ages with an evening of a thousand laughs. Our show features comedians, jugglers, ventriloquists, singers, dancers, and adorable animals! Whether you’re watching our tropical birds put balls through hoops or our juggler show off his skills with items others wouldn’t dare to try, you’re in for a treat. There’s even audience participation for both the little ones and the adults, so everyone has the chance to get involved! Laugh away any worries and stress the rainy weather may have caused as you enjoy a memorable evening at our award-winning show.
2. Enjoy a Dinner Show
If you want to enjoy a combination of food and entertainment while it’s raining, head to a dinner show in Pigeon Forge! Dinner shows provide the perfect combination of a delicious meal and nonstop fun. Visit Dolly Parton’s Stampede for a high-spirited adventure and a four-course country feast. You’ll witness impressive horseback-riding tricks, friendly competition, stunning musical productions, and so much more. For an epic pirate battle with acrobatics, aerial stunts, and high-diving tricks, visit Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show. This experience offers high seas escapades and romance, paired with a hearty pirate feast. For hilarious family feuding and a Southern meal, spend the evening at the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud! This dinner attraction features everything from singing and dancing to jaw-dropping stunts as the two families try to settle their differences. Guests will be served an all-you-can-eat dinner with classic Southern dishes. When you spend the evening enjoying a mouth-watering meal and family-friendly entertainment, you’ll forget it’s even raining outside!
3. Explore the Titanic Museum Attraction
Another one of the best things to do in Pigeon Forge when it rains is to explore the Titanic Museum Attraction. This indoor attraction provides an educational experience that’s both memorable and entertaining. It’s a celebration of the famous luxury liner, its passengers, and its crew. Visitors can take a step back in time and learn more about what happened on that fateful night through interactive exhibits and over 400 artifacts from the ship. Walk a replica of the Grand Staircase, learn how to send an SOS distress signal, and try to stand on the sloping decks! There are also special experiences just for kids, like the Tot-Titanic interactive area and an onboard scavenger hunt. After you explore the Titanic Museum Attraction, head next door to Titanic Ice Cream for a frozen treat that’s loved during any weather!
If you plan to visit both our show and the Titanic Museum Attraction on your vacation, take advantage of our combo tickets!
4. Take a Rainy Drive Through the Mountains
Rain doesn’t mean that you can’t still take in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains! We recommend going for a rainy drive through the Smokies so you can still admire the views from the comfort of your car. Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is open from mid-April through November each year and is one of the best drives on a rainy day, as the Roaring Fork stream truly roars after a heavy rainfall. Rushing mountain streams, glimpses of old-growth forest, and historic buildings are some of the main things you’ll see along your journey. As the perfect finale to your scenic drive, you’ll come upon A Place of a Thousand Drips, a wet-weather waterfall you can see from your car. It’s truly a sight to see when it rains! Other rainy drives include Cades Cove, Newfound Gap, and Wears Valley Road.
